Circklo Judges Portugal’s Famous Loures Inova Start-up Acceleration Programme

Yesterday, January 27th, 2022, Vânia Rodrigues – Circklo’s Associate Partner – judged the Pitch Final of the 4th edition of the Go To Market acceleration program of Loures Inova, Portugal’s most prolific start-up acceleration programme focused on innovation in the agri-food, logistics and transport sectors of Portugal’s booming economy.
The Pitch Final was held at Palácio Marqueses da Praia e Monforte, a former royal palace reopened to the public in 2015. The 4th edition of the Loures Inova’s acceleration program included a business bootcamp, a food bootcamp, as well as a series of virtual mentorship opportunities.
In very high demand from Portugal’s entrepreneurs in the agri-food sector, the Pitch Final had 18 finalists, and an exceptional panel of judges. Joining Circklo’s Vânia Rodrigues were Isabel Neves of Investors Portugal, Joaquim Vale – the President of Santos e Vale, Miguel Morgado – the Founder of Hunter Boards, and Jose Damião – mentor with Loures Inova.
Speaking after yesterday’s Pitch Final, Rodrigues pointed out that “the technological innovation underpinning the recent revolution, one could argue, in Portugal’s agri-food, logistics and transport sectors is very much down to accelerator programmes such as Loures Inova’s, and to the Portuguese government’s support of innovation in all its forms. I was really pleased to listen to the pitches of so many talented people, true game changers in their respective industries.”
Loures Inova’s acceleration and incubation programmes are seeking to make a difference to Portugal’s entrepreneurs who are highly motivated to optimise the current conventional systems of industrial growth, with particular emphasis on the opportunities brought by innovation in all its forms: technical, digital, automated and operational.
