Supporting and accelerating Kenyan sustainable start-ups

Yesterday, 26 May 2021, Maria Morais - Circklo’s Co-founder and Chairwoman – had the honour to meet with His Excellency Mr. Manoah Esipisu, ‍High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya to the United Kingdom.

During this meeting, Ms Morais discussed with His Excellency the vibrant start-up scene in Kenya and, especially, the numerous global opportunities available for the high-tech, digital, and sustainable start-ups of Kenya.

Circklo, as the first digital business configurator in the world solely dedicated to digital start-ups for the circular economy, has made it one of its core missions to support African digital start-ups to reach their full potential and provide them with world class advice, mentoring, coaching and investment, as already reiterated by Ms Morais during a previous interview she gave to Platform Africa.

“The fourth industrial revolution cannot discount the role of the African start-ups and their remarkable potential: they create value and bring wealth to their local economies, and empower other entrepreneurs to use their innate entrepreneurial spirit to push the boundaries of what is possible and what is acceptable. We cannot talk about global value and growth if we discount the enormous potential of the African continent.

“Kenya is a leader on the African start-up scene and, if there is anything Circklo can do to advance and speed-up the investments in, and the opportunities for development of Kenyan start-ups, we shall certainly do so”, said Maria Morais, Circklo’s Chairwoman.
